![]() It is visually easier to differentiate between paragraphs when the first line is indented. In this, the left margins are used for the remainder of the lines. Paragraphs are only indented at the beginning, as indicated by their names. Indentation of the first line is more commonly known as the first line indent. In addition to being visually appealing, they also make scanning between authors’ names or titles of works easy. It is possible to use hanging indents in a business document as well. Generally, academic and scholarly papers use hanging indents.

There’s a use of CCTV cameras throughout, but to no good purpose aside from underlining the obvious point that everyone is spying on everyone at Elsinore. The fact that it remains a filmed play means the few somewhat creative decisions fall flat. And he even has them on at the end for the fencing match with Laertes! Who fences in jeans? And he’s barefoot too! It’s like I’m watching a rehearsal for a Little Theatre production. It makes him look silly and goes against the producers’ desire to not want the costumes to be “distractingly modern.” That shirt is as distracting as you can get (though it may be better than the Superman t-shirt they were originally thinking of). The t-shirt has a really awful muscle-man print on the front, which I can’t imagine a modern-day Hamlet (or David Tennant) ever wearing. It’s a problem presented in any modern-dress production of Shakespeare: how do you render important cues in the play for antique styles of clothes? What does it mean when Ophelia talks of Hamlet appearing to her with his garters undone and his stockings down around his ankles? Well, here it means he changes out of his mourning suit and into jeans and a t-shirt. ![]() It’s all bug eyes and a stretched mouth, the sort of big emoting that works on stage but looks almost grotesque on screen. Look at the way he works his face in the grave scene, for example. I found him antic and annoying when he (or Hamlet) wasn’t trying to be. ![]() It’s not mentioned on the commentary or the “making of” featurette. But nothing in the direction or camerawork, which is pedestrian throughout, tries to sell such an image and in the end I’m not sure if anyone was aware of it. The way he bends over and then kneels down was at least suggestive of such an idea. Then, when he gives his “too, too solid flesh” soliloquy it seems as though they’ve set it up so that he actually will melt, resolve, and whatever into the mirrored black floor (apparently borrowed from a Vegas casino). He has a shaky, neurotic look to him in his inky cloak. ![]() ![]() At first sight of him I thought I might like David Tennant as Hamlet. It’s very much a filmed play, of the Royal Shakespeare Company for the BBC, and I didn’t like it as a movie or as a play. I didn’t care for this production of Hamlet. ![]() It might also be that you want to refresh an old edit from analogue or older digital and make it available on more modern platforms and larger screens.īut not all scaling methods are the same, and there’s some software out there that can help improve things even if you don’t scale the footage at all. ![]() However upscaling can be incredibly important, particularly if you are utilising older, lower resolution footage within an edit that contains more recently shot images. Most people probably don’t think too much about upscaling video because they are usually filming everything from the same camera. Here's our review of Topaz Video Enhance AI, a piece of software that seems to be performing Voodoo magic. Upscaling footage is important when it comes to refreshing older footage, or simply intercutting lower resolution footage with more modern shots. ![]() Turning the TV around we see that the X95J also uses a different design for its back panel. The X95J looks a bit more premium due to the inclusion of a metal frame instead of a plastic one that was used in the X90J while its thickness is also smaller in the X95J measuring just 2.40″ (6.1 cm) which will make it look great if you plan on mounting it on a wall. ![]() The X95J may be similar on paper to the X90J but when it comes to their looks they are completely different designs. But the differences are in the details so without further delay let’s start our analysis. As you see the X95J comes with everything included in the X90J. Other features include Dolby Vision support, Sony’s Acoustic Multi-Audio with Dolby Atmos and DTS support, HDMI 2.1 ports while, as with all TVs from Sony, in terms of OS we find the latest Google TV with Chromecast, Airplay and voice control support.Īs with most high end Sony TVs the X95J also includes Netflix Calibrated mode, IMAX Enhanced and Calman Ready. We also get a full array backlight system with local dimming while the TV uses a VA panel with a frequency of 100/120 Hz depending on the region. But fear not as we are going to pinpoint their differences soon.Īs for what the X95J brings to the table we find once again Sony’s best processor, the new Cognitive Processor XR. ![]() In fact, other than the obvious omission of a 55″ size the X95J has exactly the same specs sheet as the X90J which is Sony’s fault as it adds confusion and doesn’t make it easier for consumers to understand what is different and what to choose from the two. Now, if you look at the specs closely you will most probably see something strange here as the X95J and X90J, that we had reviewed recently, look awfully similar making it hard to distinguish which one is the best for your specific needs. But Sony has a pretty stellar LED LCD lineup also and today in our Sony X95J review we will be taking a look at their top 4K LED LCD offering for this year. ![]() Obviously most of the attention when it comes to Sony TVs in 2021 has been focused towards their flagship OLED, the A90J, and not without reason as it was Sony’s first OLED TV to use the new improved panel with a heatsink in order to push the brightness more than traditional OLED panels can do. ![]() You can also choose to copy the translation in the Actions menu that appears below that for pasting elsewhere, change the translation to another language, and hear the translation spoken out loud.
